Filigree Technique on Gourd

***PREREQUISITE - BEGINNER GOURD ART***

Students must be comfortable using a Power Carver

Learn the fancy form cutting of the filigree technique on a gourd. You will learn to remove gourd skin smoothly and then to use speciality bits to make the filigree. 

The teacher will provide a tutorial.  A duragrit carving bit will be available to purchase for $22. Let me know by March 1st if you need to buy one for the class.

Students will need to bring bring an apron, mask, prepared gourd clean on the inside and outside, and painted on the inside. Bring your power carver and any bits you have.  There will be Dremels available to use if you do not have one.
