Learn to use a kiska or pysanki pen to make wax resist designs on a gourd. Wax resist is best for line patterns or silhouettes. Your choice of dyes or stains will be applied for colour. The wax will provide the final outside sealant.
Bring a gourd clean on the outside ready for a design. Seal the inside if it is open. You may want to use several small shards for practice. Pens and wax will be provided. You will also have the opportunity to try using a stylus to apply wax.
