For ages 6 and up! A perfect arts activity now that's school is out!
In this workshop we will make a birdhouse out of a hollow gourd. Gourds make great natural homes for small birds and can last for years!
Students get to choose their gourd shape and decorate their birdhouse however they please. By the end of the class students will have a birdhouse ready to hang up at home.
If we finish our houses early, there are plenty of small gourds around to make birds of our own that can be placed in the garden and hopefully encourage other bird visitors to come!
The class is $25 per registrant, all materials and supplies are included. Due to the nature of this activity students may want to bring a smock or old shirt they don't mind getting paint on.
The class is 3 hours long and instructed by Guild member Julia Szabo.
All instructors and assistants have completed an up to date Vulnerable Sectors Check.
This Sunflower Workshop will be a chance for gourders to work together to make items for the fundraiser sale on August 20, 2022. Please come and help us make a significant contribution to the cause. Your contribution does not need to be gourd related.
